“I had a difficult childhood. My father was an alcoholic most of his adult life, and, at the age of five-years-old, my parents divorced. I was 41 years old when my dad, after years of drinking, suddenly died of a heart attack.”
Loved Already is a healing ministry about opening yourself to the action of the Holy Spirit to receive what He’s been waiting to give you your whole life! It’s more than “doing”. It’s about being loved – an undoing, unwinding, a letting go. The result? Abundant peace and freedom, rooted in your true identity as a daughter of God.
Loved Already provides a number of resources for your journey including a book, podcast, events, and even one-on-one sessions with Melissa.

The passing of her father was bitter and painful, yet it allowed Melissa the freedom to begin a healing process that would last years. “When my father was alive, and unbeknownst to me, I had unresolved pain that was associated with emotional neglect, brought about from the abandonment as a child. Surprisingly, when he passed, I received a surplus of graces and the clear realization that I didn’t have to live in pain anymore; God could heal the parts of me that where hurting”. It was the first time she experienced being a child of God.
Joining forces with her best friend who was also struggling with a similar background, Melissa set out on a journey to find healing. As she describes it as “a quest for healing.”
As friends, they sought out various healing programs. They first attended a ‘Healing the Whole Person’ retreat in Austin, Texas. It was followed later by a retreat at the John Paul II Healing Center in Tallahassee, Florida, where they encountered Dr. Bob Schuchts. They also participated in several other retreats. During this time, she met Stephen and Marie Day who became her mentors in Resurrected Life Ministry training — the initial journey lasted three-years.
“After several powerful healing experiences and with the ongoing support from my husband, I gained freedom from many hurts and painful memories. I realized God didn’t want me to be a slave to that early childhood pain. God came to set me free”. She was bubbling over with joy at what she had gained and began to realize that her experiences and new-found knowledge could help others who also struggled. “I started to feel called. The more freedom I experienced, the more I felt called to help others,” she says.
Before her healing, Melissa responded to life circumstances based on lies she believed about herself and others. She tells a story of when her husband Ryan would travel. “If I didn’t hear from Ryan every couple hours, I would feel scared. I lived with the lie that said he might not come back, he’s going to abandon me. I would essentially become unglued and he was on the receiving end of my fear and anxiety.”
After her healing journey, she had a supernatural increase in her awareness of God’s presence; notably, she knew without a doubt that she was worthy to be loved. “God showed me how, throughout my childhood, even though I felt abandoned, he was always with me.” This truth for Melissa was life-changing. She realized that she was loved already, and now wants to share that truth with everyone she meets.
From her healing journey came a calling, clarity of mission, a desire to help others experience first-hand the profound reality of God’s love. So, in 2016, Melissa began offering one-day women’s retreats at local parishes. She called them ‘Be Loved Women’s Retreats.’
From these early retreats, it became clear that God desired more time with the women. One day wasn’t enough and neither was the confined space of a parish hall. So, leveraging the use of Chota Falls, a beautiful, 110-acre event venue she and her husband help manage, she started offering weekend retreats on the beautiful 110-acre property. From these events, a Be Loved core team formed made up of women who’s healing journeys began on retreat.
LovedAlready.com was born out of a need for a resource to nourish women of all ages, including those who have attended a Be Loved retreat. Melissa desires it to be a place where women can come to know the transformative and healing power of God’s love.
